Escape & Evasion Exercise

Every year we run Escape & Evasion Exercises at our various sites. Generally scheduled in April & September these hugely popular events are designed to push the boundaries of airsoft & give players a real flavour of army life for 24hrs.

So, what is it?

24hrs working in pairs but sometimes alone & being hunted by a determined enemy of experienced serving & ex-UK forces well equipped with vehicles, radios & the occasional search dog team complete with warm tents & sleeping bags.

While the Hunter Force enjoys some creature comforts you, as an evader, with barely any food, no sleeping bag & only a pistol with very limited ammunition have to navigate to grid references to recover cached equipment including food, weapons, ammunition & your next set of orders. Enemy patrols search for you endlessly scouring the area & looking under every bush for you, their quarry.

As the scattered survivors of a Special Forces patrol, forced to bail out of their doomed transport aircraft, shot down over enemy territory, you have 24hrs to escape & reach safety. In that time you must navigate your way in your two man teams around numerous waypoints retrieving kit & intelligence data. Without the kit & information you cannot reach your final destination for extraction or attempt any possible missions that local friendly HUMINT contacts may ask you to undertake.

Should you be unlucky enough to be captured you will be taken to the enemy command location for rigorous interrogation. They will want the information you have.

Can you survive for 24hrs out there?

Do you have the will-power & resourcefulness to get through the ordeal if you end up alone?

Captured!

An evader is quickly searched before being transported back to TAC HQ for interrogation.

Latest info regarding dates for the next Escape & Evasion Exercise can be found on the NEWS page, CALENDER or our FORUM. Due to the popularity of these events they are heavily subscribed especially by those wanting to evade. Book early to avoid disspointment.

As mentioned, those evading will be allowed to carry only minimal kit as itemised in the following kit list:

Basha or poncho
Half a Brit 24hr Ration Pack or equivalent
Small Hexi Stove or similar
Whistle
Fuel packs for above

All the above kit must be carried in one British Army utility pouch (or equivalent) fixed to a belt. If it doesn't fit into the pouch you must carry it in pockets or strapped to yourself with the paracord you brought along.

Every evader will be thoroughly searched for contraband prior to being dropped off in their pairs within the exercise area. Anyone caught with items not on the above list will have those items removed & they will be asked to make a £25.00 donation FOR EACH BANNED ITEM to Help for Heroes. We will name & shame you!!
